Upcoming ASAC Public Meeting

December 15, 2011 at 1300 Eastern Standard Time

The U.S. Transportation Security Administration will hold its first public meeting with its newly reformed Aviation Security Advisory Committee.  The group of 24 representatives from various associations and organizations will meet via telephone conference with the TSA.  Among the presentations to be given will be general aviation airport security guidelines.  There are 100 lines available for the conference, including those for members of the public to join and listen in to the proceedings.  For those interested in joining the conference, contact Dean Walter of the TSA at +1 (571) 227-2645 or Dean.Walter@dhs.gov.  Source:  U.S. Federal Register, November 28, 2011, page 72967.

We launched our first hardcopy/electronic magazine on Patriot Day 2011.  The Patriot Day Premier Edition is full of articles on practical ways to improve the security of our general aviation airports, businesses, and flight operations.  The electronic versions are free of charge.  The electronic version is presented in blog-style for easy online reading and has bonus features which include embedded videos.  You can also download a PDF version to read without having to be online.  For those who would like a hard copy the price is $5.00 to help defray the costs of materials, printing, shipping and handling.
